The Best Fantasy Sports Affiliate Programs to Join for the Fall

Fantasy sports is one of the biggest types of sports gambling out today. Literally, anyone can play and the industry has gone from obscure to a juggernaut in sports. There are a number of ways you can play fantasy sports. There are season-long leagues, daily fantasy (which is a hot commodity right now), and even prediction based websites you can use.

I’ve played fantasy sports for a few years now (and the reigning champion in both of my football leagues-humble brag), and it can be stressful, irritating, and also a fun way to enjoy a sports weekend.

With the growth of fantasy sports, there have been a number of websites that have popped up allowing you to scratch that fantasy itch for free, or for some cash if you are feeling brave and want to put some money down. A lot of these fantasy sites also have affiliate programs (who knew?) that will pay you a commission for anyone that signs up for their website through your affiliate link.

Take a look at my opinion of the best fantasy sports affiliate programs you should join this summer and thank me later when you start earning money through them!

Draft Kings

Draft Kings is the leader in daily fantasy sports. You can find me using this app during the NBA and NFL season’s, as there are a number of ways you can win money on the site. When you initially sign up for the website your deposit is matched by the company (overtime: if you put down $25 you will eventually get $25 put into your account based on your volume of play).

The process is simple as you place your bet, select your players, and keep track of the contest hoping for a win. How does their affiliate program work?

Once you are approved as an affiliate of Draft Kings, your first 30 days you will receive 40% commission of any deposits placed by a user who signed up through your affiliate link. After the first 30 days that number drops down to 25%, which isn’t shabby at all (if someone deposits $100 you earned yourself a cool $25).

There are a few requirements to keeping your eligibility though:

First, you must hit $75 in commissions before getting paid from Draft Kings, and the maximum you can receive per month is $1,000.

Secondly, you must have a minimum of 2 new players sign up each month. That may not seem like a lot but as the days add up you may struggle to get those new players signed up within the allotted amount of time. You will also lose the eligibility of an affiliate if he/she has not played in any contests for 9 consecutive months.

In the end, there is a lot to love about being a Draft Kings affiliate. The sheer size and scope of their marketing efforts keep them at the top of the fantasy sports game, and the opportunity to sign people up is still out there as hundreds of millions of people do not play fantasy sports, but some more might if you let them know about it!

Fan Duel

Fan Duel is the other major player in the daily fantasy sports game. Although a merger was called off with Draft Kings last year it hasn’t slowed this company down.

Like Draft Kings, it offers a variety of daily fantasy contests that can be played for free or with actual cash, and they also offer a deposit bonus for new users.

How do you become an affiliate?

First, you have to create a user profile. Once you have created your profile and made your first deposit you can sign up to become an affiliate.

As an affiliate, you will get access to a number of links, banners, and other online marketing tools to properly promote the website and any special promotions currently running.

What can you expect in terms of commission? It is slightly different from what we previously spoke about with Draft Kings:

You will still earn revenue for every referral that makes a deposit similar to Draft Kings, however FanDuel allows you to earn 35% of their deposit commission for 2 full calendar years !!!

Speaking of the 35% commission this was recently changed and is valid for all net revenue earned per user! That is simply amazing and with a better commission rate than DK, you should consider this your second sports affiliate program to join.

There is also a sliding scale for each new user referred through one of your links. The first 15 users per month who sign up earn you $25 each, 26-100 users earn you $30 each, and anything over 100 users earns you $35 each.

This is an excellent way to quickly boost your affiliate revenue as a simple deposit of $10 per user can earn you at least $25.

Don’t have an affiliate plan in place without signing up with Fan Duel.

Yahoo Daily Fantasy sports popularity has grown over the last couple of years, and they offer many of the same options you will see in Fan Duel and Draft Kings. I joined Yahoo Fantasy sports last year and won my football league, and while I did not participate in daily fantasy contests it is something I am planning to do this year.

When you look at their affiliate program there is a lot to like here, and there are a number of reasons to sign up as an affiliate.

Here are some of the highlights of the affiliate program:

  • You will receive 25% of all net revenue created through your affiliate links.
  • You can earn up to $1000 per user per month.
  • Each new user will be attributed to your affiliate account for 2 calendar years (730 days).

There are a few requirements you need to consider and understand before joining the program:

  • A user must make a deposit within their first 30 days of signing up to become a Referred User
  • You must sign up 2 new users per month

This shouldn’t dissuade you from signing up and depending on the traffic to your website it can quickly lead to great revenue through your website.
